
Lightning Coach Suspended

(TORONTO, ON) The National Basketball League of Canada has accessed a one-game suspension and fine to London Lightning Head Coach, Michael Ray Richardson for an incident that occurred in the January 19th game against the Halifax Rainmen, at the John Labatt Centre.
"The National Basketball League of Canada looks to establish and maintain the highest standards of professionalism and good sportsmanship both on and off the court," said John Kennedy, Commissioner of NBL Canada.
Whenever there's an issue in this regard, we review and verify the incident, then move forward appropriately addressing the situation both internally and with our member teams, which we've done here."
Richardson has led his team to the number one spot in the league with a 19-5 record. He will be suspended from the February 5 against The Oshawa Power.
