
Lifrieri Pushes Stallions Past Outlaws For Third Straight Win

Saugerties, N.Y. - Dillon Lifrieri (Arkansas) drove home four runs on three hits, catapulting the Saugerties Stallions (10-9) over the Oneonta Outlaws (7-12) 5-4 on Tuesday night at Cantine Field.
An eighth inning two-RBI single by Lifrieri plated the tying and winning runs for the Stallions.
The victory extends the Stallions' winning streak to three games, matching the team's longest streak of the season.
The Stallions started off strong, scoring two runs in the first inning. Mitchell Sanford (LSU) led off with a solo home run, his first of the season. Lifrieri tacked on one more run in the first with an RBI double to score Jake Skrine (Indiana). In the fourth inning, the Stallions added one more run with a Dillon Lifrieri home run.
Stallions starting pitcher Alex Voss (Butler) had his best outing of the season, going six innings and recording five strikeouts while surrendering two runs.
After scoring two runs in the sixth inning, the Outlaws attacked the Stallions bullpen. Matt Pagano (Marist) tied the game at 3-3 with an RBI single in the top of the seventh. In the eighth, the Outlaws took their first lead of the game, courtesy of Jordan Cerbo's (Grand Canyon) RBI groundout.
The Stallions rallied in the eighth inning with an RBI single by Lifrieri to retake the 4-3 lead. In the ninth, Danny Kapala (Minnesota) sat the Outlaws down in order to seal the Stallions' 4-3 victory.
Tyler Germanowski (St. Bonaventure) picked up the win for Saugerties. The righty allowed one run and struck out one batter in one inning of work. Kapala recorded the save.
Ryan Mostoller (Washington College) picked up the loss. He allowed two earned runs out of the bullpen.
