April 29, 2016 - Carolina League (CarL1)
Winston-Salem Dash News Release
The Chicago White Sox have announced the following roster moves affecting the Winston-Salem Dash:
- INF Ryan Leonards promoted to Double-A Birmingham from Winston-Salem
- INF Grant Massey promoted to Winston-Salem from Low-A Kannapolis
In six games with the Dash, Leonards hit .227 with four runs scored, three of which came in his most recent start last Friday at Salem. This marks his second stint with Birmingham after a late-season bump from Kannapolis a year ago.
Massey joins the Dash for the first time in his Minor League career. The former Lipscomb star was hitting an even .300 (21-for-70) in 18 games with the Intimidators. He spent all of last year with rookie-level Great Falls.
The Dash's roster stands at 25 players, the Carolina League maximum, plus two on the disabled list.
