Texas Legends News Release

Frisco, TX - The Texas Legends suffered their first home loss in franchise history on Tuesday night, after falling 130-116 to the Tulsa 66ers at HP Court inside Dr Pepper Arena.

The game went back and forth over the first half, but going into the break it was the 66ers on top 66-60. Veteran guard Antonio Daniels had a dominant first half, where he scored 17 of his 22 total points.

The 66ers then used a 24-8 run midway through the third quarter to put some separation between them and the Legends, as Tulsa led by as much as 20 points in the third.

The Legends would not go down without a fight as they got within 11 late in the fourth quarter, but it was too late as Tulsa came out of Frisco with the win.

The 66ers were on fire throughout the entire game, shooting 63.2% as a team. They were led by guard Zabian Dowdell, who paced the team with 20 points on 8-of-14 shooting.

The Legends had six double-digit scorers in the game and for the ninth time in nine games scored over 108 points. Texas leads the league in scoring, coming into the night averaging over 115 points per game.

The loss drops Texas to 6-3 on the season, while the 66ers improved to 5-4.

The Legends will now head back on the road as they travel to North Dakota to take on the Dakota Wizards in a two-game set. The games, on Friday and Saturday night, are set for a 7:00 pm tip-off.

Great tickets for all Legends home games are still available by calling (214) 469-0822 or emailing the team at info@texlegends.com.
