Legends Acquire Returning Player Rights to Malik Pope

FRISCO, TX - The Texas Legends have acquired the returning player rights to Malik Pope in a trade with the Greensboro Swarm. In return, Texas sends the returning player rights to Donte Ingram.

Pope (6-10, 220, San Diego State) played 20 games for the Swarm last season as a rookie, averaging 6.7 points, 4.5 rebounds in 16.3 minutes per game. The California native spent four years at San Diego State tallying 12.8 points, 6.8 rebounds, 1.2 assists, and 1.2 blocks per game as a senior and earning Mountain West All-Conference honors.

Ingram (6-6, 215, Loyola) played 42 games for Texas last season after joining the team as a rookie out of Mavericks training camp. Ingram averaged 3.7 points, 2.2 rebounds in 15.3 minutes.
