League Announces Final Regular Season Schedule Changes
June 4, 2004 - National Indoor Football League (NIFL) News Release
LAFAYETTE, LA--As the National Indoor Football League heads into the final stretch of the season, the league today has issued final schedule changes to the 2004 lineup of games.
Final tweaks to the schedule were made to accommodate changes in Wichita Falls.
In the Wichita Falls market, while talks with potential ownership for the franchise is going strong for next year, the team will not return to Kay Yeager Coliseum this season.
"We feel confident that Wichita Falls is still a great city for the NIFL," NIFL President Carolyn Shiver said. "At this time, we are still in talks with new potential owners for the Thunder, but feel it is in everyone's best interest that they wait for the 2005 season and go through the full league review process in order to ensure a solid franchise in Wichita Falls for years to come."
All Thunder players have been granted their full release from the National Indoor Football League. Season ticket holders looking for a refund are asked to contact Leroy Cekalla at 763-208-5655.
