Law Will Not Retain Maynard

LAREDO, Texas – The Laredo Law have announced that head coach Scot Maynard will not return to coach the Law next season. The Law posted a 3-13 record in their expansion campaign. For more information go on line at www.laredolaw.com.

"Coach Maynard had a short time to put together a team and things did not go as well as hoped," said Law CEO Kiki DeAyala. "It was not thru a lack of effort or desire to succeed. We wish Scot the best of luck in the future and thank him for his commitment to Laredo this past season."

On Monday Law defensive specialist Traco Rachal was selected as the af2 ADT Defensive Player of the Year. On Tuesday Tim Dodge of Quad City was named the af2 U.S. Army Ironman of the Year. Today Cape Fear offensive specialist Matt Burnstein was named the Baby Ruth Real Deal Offensive Player of the Year.
