
Fort Myers Mayor Makes Friendly Wager Over ArenaCup 2004 with Peoria, Illinois Mayor

Fort Myers, FL (August 25, 2004) - Mayor Jim Humphrey makes a friendly wager today with the Mayor of Peoria, Illinois, David Ransburg over the Florida Firecats and Peoria Pirates in the 2004 ArenaCup 2004. This is the championship game for the arenafootball2 league. If the Firecats win the ArenaCup, Ransburg will send Humphrey a toy Caterpillar Tractor. (Peoria is site of the World Headquarters for Caterpillar, Inc.) If the Pirates win, Humphrey will send Ransburg a bushel of Florida citrus products.
The Florida Firecats vs. Peoria Pirates will take place this Friday, August 27, 2004, at 8pm at Germain Arena in Estero, FL.
