Late Rally Sinks Admirals

St. Joseph, MI. - The league leading Rochester RazorSharks(6-1) used a balanced scoring attack to defeat Lake Michigan(0-3) 102-94 at Lake Michigan Catholic in a Premier Basketball League match up.

The RazorSharks placed six players in double figures and outscored the Admirals 26 to 8 at the foul line in a come from behind win. Lake Michigan took the lead at the 3:58 mark of the first quarter and maintained it until 2:47 left in the third quarter.

Rochester went on a 9-3 run and put the Admirals in foul trouble. The game's leading scorer and rebounder, Florentino Valencia left with 4:29 to go in the fourth, followed by Odgra Bobo at 2:38 with Lake Michigan down two, 96-94.

"At the end of the game we started to panic. We were right there," explained Admirals Coach Che' Eddie. An 8-2 run by Rochester in the final two minutes put the game away.

Coach Eddie also remarked that his team is going in the right direction and we've improved a lot defensively. He's very encouraged with the progress.

Valencia had a double double and led the Admirals with 23pts and 12 rebounds, followed by Rodney Alexander(12). Newcomer Tychicus Snow and Courtney Blackmore had 11.

Rochester's Eric Walton, Johnny Mayhane and Aaron Williams had 15. Tasheed Carr added 14 and Jamal Davis with 10. Walton also finished by recording a double double with 12 rebounds.
