GREAT FALLS, MT- The Missoula PaddleHeads' offense would get off to a great start on Friday night scoring 6 runs in the first 3 innings in action against the Great Falls Voyagers. Great Falls would see Missoula score 6 unanswered in the first 3 innings. However, the Voyager attack would ignite in the 3rd getting right back into the contest behind a big rally of their own. After quiet innings in the 5th, and 6th, the game would enter the stretch push with Missoula clinging to a 1-run lead. Thanks to a huge boost from the offense, the PaddleHeads would not have to sweat much out coming down the stretch.
After extending the lead to 4 in the 7th inning, the PaddleHeads' offense would completely take off for a huge rally in the top of the eighth inning. Missoula would tally 9 hits as a team in the frame tallying 10 combined runs to completely blow the game open. The PaddleHeads would send 12 batters to the dish as part of the rally. Missoula would tally 20 hits as a team overall with 6 batters finishing with at least 2 hits on the night. The end result would be a 19-6 game 1 victory over Great Falls on the road.
