Canadian Football League (CFL) Commissioner Randy Ambrosie issued the following statement today announcing the League's Return-to-Play plans for the 2021 season: "We will play CFL football in 2021. "Our revised target date to start our regular season is August 5. To facilitate a 14-game season, for our players, fans and partners, we are re-scheduling the Grey Cup to December 12 in Hamilton, Ontario.

Jesse Fuchs and Arash Madani discuss the CFL saying they will try to play football in 2021 with a 14 game schedule.

The Canadian Football League (CFL) announced it would delay the start of its 2021 season until Aug. 5, as the country continues to grapple with a third wave of the COVID-19 pandemic. Delaying the '21 season allows for more Canadians to receive their COVID-19 vaccinations and increases chances of fans being allowed in the stands once football resumes. Taylor Shire has more.

Western Hockey League

The Western Hockey League announced the 2020-21 WHL Season will conclude following the completion of the 24-game Regular Season schedule.
