
Las Vegas Stars ready to shine in opener

Las Vegas, NV-The Las Vegas Stars (2-0) will look to maintain its perfect record when the Colorado Crossover (3-3) comes to town for two games. The Stars and Crossover will square off on Thursday, April 19, and Friday, April 20. Both games are at the Stars' home venue at the Tarkanian Basketball Academy (Stations Sports Complex), and will tip off at 7:15pm.
Las Vegas Stars CEO and General Manager Alexis Levi-Scott-"We are thrilled to be playing our first home game. This team is proud to be representing Las Vegas, and is really looking forward to putting on a great show for local basketball fans."
The Stars is averaging 132.5 points per game in 2007. Devon Tate is the Stars' leading scorer, averaging 21.5 points per game. Jason McGowan is second on the team with a 17.5 points per game average.
"We still have things to work on, but this team is very well suited to excel in the IBL's up-tempo style of play," said Stars' player/assistant coach Sean Higgins, who added, "We will strive to win every time we step on the court, but win or lose, this team will be fun to watch."
