LAS VEGAS, NV - November 4, 2007 - The Las Vegas Stars look to fill the roster for 2008 Season. The Las Vegas Stars are taking pre-registration for the 2008 Las Vegas Stars Tryouts. The Stars had a great 2007 season where they came in 2nd in the West Coast and attended the 2007 IBL West Coast Playoffs. Tryouts will begin on February 17, 2007 at the 24 hour Nautilus in SF/Bay Area. This will be the first of 5 national tryout sessions. In 2007-2008, the tryouts will come to Los Angeles, Las Vegas, NY, DC, NC Atlanta. Those that want to tryout should email thelasvegasstars@yahoo.com.Space is limited 200 athletes per site to be accepted.

Young Alexis Levi purchased a professional basketball franchise and settled her International Basketball League (IBL) Expansion Team - the Las Vegas Stars - in Las Vegas, Nevada. operations.

Levi states, "We had a great first season, the Stars were second in the West Coast Division, our record was 12-5. We attended the West Coast Playoffs as well.

Several of our players had workouts with the NBDL, (NBA Development League). Dajuan Tate, second leading scorer in the league, was drafted 6 overall for the Chinese Basketball Association. Matt Winans, has a scheduled 10 day contract with the Bosten Celtics. Since taking ownership, we have received calls of interest from the NBA, NBDL, CBA and some international teams." I have just completed my book: Alexis Levi: From the Boardroom to the Lockerroom. There are talks of a movie as well as numerous other plans.

The Las Vegas Stars' 2008 season kicks off at the end of March. To ensure ample preparedness for its first season, the team hosted tryouts in the U.S. and internationally, providing players from throughout the world an opportunity to show their stuff. Still recruiting to fill the remainder of the Star's open positions, the team will announce its roster in March. "We are working hard to build a team of which the southern Nevada community will be proud."

"We are pleased and honored to bring an IBL team to Las Vegas," said Levi. "We anticipate strong support from the community because the people of Las Vegas love professional basketball." She continued, " We have been working to brand the Las Vegas Stars so that they attract a national audience base. We are in talks with the television world to secure a reality show that would showcase Alexis Levi, the Las Vegas Stars and 10 Star hopefuls in 2008.
