
Unbeaten Express adds Worley to roster

Elkhart, IN- A strong Elkhart Express team that is still awaiting players adds former Iowa stand out Glen Worley to the team this past week to add additional depth for their championship run.
Worley a 6'7" forward was a defensive machine during his career with the Hawkeyes. He ranks eighth in career blocked shots with 78 during his tenure at Iowa City. He is also a proven shooter leading the Hawkeye's in 3-point percentage during his junior year. Most recently he has played in Ireland for the NIVEA Men's Super League where he won a championship for the Mardyke UCC Demons as well as with the Gulf Coast Bandits of the WBA and the Quad City River Hawks of the ABA.
"Glen is a well-disciplined player coming from the Alford system who has proven to do whatever it takes to win," stated Express coach and president Daimon Beathea. "He is a proven winner at every level he has played and we are fortunate to be able to add him the roster," stated Beathea.
Worley has arrived in Elkhart and is practicing with the team, learning the system since the team returned from their Colorado road trip. He is expected to make his debut Thursday April 19th at the Express's home game against the Seattle Mountaineers.

- 2004 Graduate of the University of Iowa with a degree in African American Studies - One of 34 other Iowa players to score over 1000 points over their career - Ranks 8th among Hawkeye's in career blocked shots (78) - Honorable Mention All Big Ten his junior year - 72.2% free throw percentage ranks fourth best ever by a an Iowa freshman - Invited to participate in the USA Basketball Men's National Team Trials as a freshman.
- USA Today and Gatorade Iowa Player of the Year his senior year - Iowa Mr. Basketball his senior year - Won two Iowa State Championships for Iowa City West High School.
