
Las Vegas Stars off to a hot start

Las Vegas, NV-The Las Vegas Stars is 2-0 after dispatching the Phoenix Flame in back to back games this past weekend. On Friday, April 6, the Stars prevailed 125-116. Las Vegas followed up that performance with a dominating 140-105 win on Saturday, April 7.
Las Vegas Stars Head Coach George Tarkanian-"I am very pleased with the effort and intensity we played with in both games. This group is really dedicated to being a part of a successful pro team in Las Vegas."
In Friday's contest, Jason McGowan led the Stars with 25 points. Tarron Williams added 24 points, and Eddie Shelby finished with 22. On Saturday, Dajuan Tate was the Stars' top scorer with a 28 point outing, and Hollis Hale pitched in 22.
"The competition was tough, but it was great to be able to measure our talent and see where we're at," said Stars' player/assistant coach Sean Higgins, an eight year NBA veteran. "We definitely have a lot of work to do, but this team has the potential to be a contender."
