Laredo's Kevin Desfosses Wins Weekly Award Bucks Goaltender Voted CHL Performance of the Week

(Tempe, Arizona) - The Central Hockey League (CHL) announced today that Laredo Bucks goaltender Kevin Desfosses has been voted the winner of the CHL Performance of the Week for the week of January 25-31. The rookie netminder wins the award after making 37 saves in the Bucks 3-1 victory over the Texas Brahmas on January 29.
The Beauport, Quebec native earned 21,602 votes accounting for 57% of the total votes cast. Coming in second place was Mississippi's Louis Dumont who scored a pair of goals in the RiverKings shootout win over Rapid City on January 29 (15,030 votes). During the weekly poll there was 38,053 fans that cast their vote.
The nominees for the CHL Performance of the Week for week 17 of the season for the period beginning on January 25 and ending on January 31 are as follows:
-Missouri's Jeff Christian scoring a goal with three assists in the Mavs 5-4 SO win over Colorado on February 2nd
-Odessa's Mike Ramsay scoring a hat trick in 4:10 stretch of the first period in 9-4 win over Colorado on February 6th
-Corpus Christi's Chad Woollard scoring hat trick in win versus Amarillo on February 4th
-RGV's Andy Franck making 50 saves in the Bees 3-2 SO win over Laredo on February 4th
-Texas' Jordan Cameron scoring game winning goal with 15 seconds left in regulation of the Brahmas 3-2 win at Bossier-Shreveport on February 6th
Fans can vote for the winner until Monday, February 16 with the winner being announced on Tuesday, February 17.
