LAREDO, Texas - The Laredo Bucks went 1-1-0 this past week. Friday the Bucks beat Austin 5-1 at the LEC and then Saturday dropped a 3-0 decision in Lubbock. Laredo is 14-8-2, with a Southern Conference best 30 points. The Bucks are home Friday against Corpus Christi at 7:30 p.m. The first 2,500 fans receive a Coach Terry Ruskowski Bobblehead doll courtesy of AT&T and Cingular. Laredo is also home on Saturday against Rio Grande Valley at 7:30 p.m. Fans can get four tickets, four hot dogs, and four sodas (a $100 value) for $48. The Bucks are offering a family four pack of season tickets for the 2006-07 CHL regular season, which works out to just over $7 a seat per game and is a 48 % savings off walkup prices. LAREDO BUCKS TOY DRIVE

- The Bucks will be collecting toys at home games thru the month of December to donate to various local hospitals or charities. People are encouraged to bring a new toy to the games at the LEC to help the less fortunate. Fans who donate will receive a raffle ticket for some great prizes. Donations will also be collected at the LEC during non game days prior to Christmas, concluding this Friday.

DECEMBER SPECIAL

- The Bucks are making a special offer to season ticket holders for the month of December. Season ticket holders can get $2 per seat off the purchase of any extra tickets, or to use at the Bucks team store thru December. Coupons will be mailed out, or you can contact your Bucks ticket representative at 718-BUCK (2825).

- CORPUS CHRISTI RAYZ -

2006-07 REGULAR SEASON: Laredo is 3-1-0 against the Rayz in 2006-07. The Bucks beat the Rayz 4-2 on 10/21 at the American Bank Center in the season opener for each team. The Rayz beat the Bucks 5-3 at the LEC on 10/31. Laredo beat the Rayz 3-2 on 12/03 with three third period goals. On 12/06 Laredo beat Corpus 2-1 in overtime on a goal by Jeff Bes at the LEC. This is the fifth of 13 meetings this season.

2005-06 REGULAR SEASON: Laredo went 10-2-1 against Corpus in 05-06. The Bucks were 6-1-1 at the LEC and 4-1-0 in Corpus. Overall the Bucks outscored the Rayz 48-24.

All-time: The Bucks are 41-12-1 all-time against Corpus Christi, outscoring the Rayz 223-121. The Bucks are 23-4-1 at the LEC against Corpus.

- RIO GRANDE VALLEY KILLER BEES -

2006-07: REGULAR SEASON: Laredo is 2-3-0 against RGV. The Killer Bees defeated the Bucks 4-2 on 10/28 at the LEC. The Bucks rallied from an early 2-0 deficit and beat the Killer Bees 5-2 on 11/10 at the Dodge Arena as Igor Agarunov scored a pair of goals. Laredo fell 2-1 to Rio Grande Valley on 12/09 at the Dodge Arena. On 12/10 the Bucks hammered the Killer Bees 9-4 at the LEC.

2005-06: REGULAR SEASON: The Bucks went 8-4-2 against the Killer Bees in the 05-06 regular season.

2006 Post-Season: The Bucks defeated the Killer Bees four games to two in the first round of the CHL Playoffs. Bucks forward Jeff Bes ended the series with a Game Six OT winner at the Dodge Arena.

All-time: Laredo is 26-12-4 against the Killer Bees, outscoring Rio Grande Valley 156-104. The Bucks are 10-9-3 all-time at the Dodge, and 16-3-1 all-time at the LEC. The teams met in the first round of the 2004 CHL playoffs with the Bucks sweeping the Killer Bees three games to none and again in the first round in 2006 with the Bucks winning four games to none.

BUCKS GAME CANCELLED

- The Bucks game on Tuesday night in Amarillo was postponed due to inclement weather conditions. No makeup date has yet been announced. It was the first time in franchise history the Bucks have had a game postponed.

BUCKS BLANKED

- The Bucks were shutout 3-0 in Lubbock on 12/16. It was the first time this season the Bucks have been shutout.

SEASON HIGH TIED

- The Bucks allowed a season high tying 36 shots on 12/16 in a 3-0 loss at Lubbock. The Bucks also allowed 36 shots to Austin on 12/02.

LONG HAUL

- The Bucks played in Laredo on 12/15 then traveled to Lubbock after the game to face the Cotton Kings on 12/16.

STREAKING ENDS

- Laredo had three players on significant streaks that ended on 12/16 in a 3-0 shutout loss at Lubbock. Adam Rivet had points in eight straight, while Jeff Bes and Serge Dube each had points in seven straight.

NEW BUCK

- Laredo acquired forward Ryan Olynyk in a trade with Memphis on 12/14 for future considerations. He debuted on 12/15 and had 6 PIM.

EARLY POP

- Scoring first has been a problem for the Bucks, but they have scored first in three of the last five games. Laredo has allowed the first goal in 15 of 24 games so far this season. The Bucks are 8-5-2 when the opponent scores first.

HOT STRETCH

- Laredo has won five of their last seven games. The first three wins were all come from behind victories.

BUCKS HOME RECORD

- Despite starting out 0-2-0 in 2006-07 at the LEC the Bucks are 110-19-10 all-time at home in regular season franchise history. Laredo is now 8-3-2 at home and the Bucks have won 43 of their last 53 regular season home games dating back to the 04-05 season.

CRITICAL STRETCH

- Laredo finished a string of eight straight against SE Division foes. The Bucks went 5-2-1 in this span. Laredo played one game against a SW division team (Lubbock on 12/16), then will play seven more against the SE to total 15 of 16 inside the division.

- Laredo is 10-0-0 this season when they have a player score two goals or more in a game.

- 12/16/06 - SATURDAY - @ LUBBOCK - The defending CHL President's Cup Champion Laredo Bucks were shutout 3-0 by the Lubbock Cotton Kings on the road on Saturday night. Cotton Kings goalie J.F. Perras stopped all 32 Bucks shots as Laredo's two game win streak came to an end. The Bucks are 14-8-2, with a Southern Conference best 30 points, and remain in first place in the Southeast Division. Perras picked up his first shutout of the season and improved to 5-4-1. Eric Marvin played well, stopping 32 of 35, but fell to 8-4-2. FINAL SCORE Lubbock 3, Laredo 0.

- 12/15/06 - FRIDAY - vs. AUSTIN - The defending CHL President's Cup Champion Laredo Bucks got two goals apiece from forwards Jeff Bes and Igor Agarunov as they beat the Austin Ice Bats 5-1 in front of 4,872 fans at the LEC on Friday night. Laredo won their second straight game and fifth in the last six as they improved to a Southern Conference best 14-7-2 with 30 points. Kevin Reiter was strong in net stopping 28 of 29 shots as he improved to 1-1-0. Kevin Couture allowed five goals on 36 shots and fell to 4-5-0. FINAL SCORE Laredo 5, Austin 1.

2006-07 BUCKS SINGLE GAME TICKETS ON SALE

- Single game tickets for the Bucks start at $14.95. Of the 32 home games, 25 will take place on either a Friday, Saturday or Sunday. Game times will remain the same for the 2006-07 season. Weekday games begin at 7 p.m., while Friday and Saturday night games are at 7:30 p.m. Sunday games will be at 4 p.m.
