
Langtry Leads All-Rookie Team

Colorado Mammoth forward Brian Langtry has been chosen as the Rookie of the Year for the 2002-03 National Lacrosse League regular season.
Langtry scored 28 goals and dished out 34 assists for a total of 62 points, tops in scoring among all rookies. The Colorado forward also scooped up 107 loose balls, also tops among first-year players in the league.
The rookie's play also had an immediate impact on his team. Langtry's 28 goals tied for second most on the Mammoth (Ted Dowling). The Englewood, Colorado resident was honored four times during the regular season. Langtry was named Rookie of the Month for the month of March 2003 and was named Rookie of the Week three times during the regular season (Week #13, #14 and #15). During those three weeks, Langtry scored nine goals and added eleven assists as the Mammoth went 3-1. The Mammoth won five of their last seven regular season games and captured the Eastern Division title with a record of 9-7.
National Lacrosse League awards are determined by a vote of the Governors, General Managers and Head Coaches of the twelve member clubs.
Langtry was also named to the league's All-Rookie Team for the 2002-03 regular season as announced today by the NLL . The All-Rookie team is comprised of the top six vote-getters for the Rookie of the Year Award. Joining Langtry on the All- Rookie team are New Jersey's Marc Morley, Calgary's Lewis Ratcliff, Rochester's Chris Schiller, Vancouver's Cam Sedgwick and Toronto's Aaron Wilson.

Brian Langtry, Colorado Mammoth, Forward
In 15 Games Played, Langtry scored 28 goals and added 34 assists for 62 points. Langtry also picked up 107 Loose Balls. Langtry played college lacrosse at Hofstra University and was drafted by the New York Saints in the sixth round of the 1998 Entry Draft. Langtry signed with the Colorado Mammoth as a free agent prior to the start of the 2002-03 season.
Marc Morley, New Jersey Storm, Forward
In 11 Games Played, Morley scored 20 goals and added 9 assists for 29 points.. Morley also picked up 35 Loose Balls. Morley was drafted by the Albany Attack in the third round of the 2002 Entry Draft, and was traded to the New Jersey Storm. Morley played college lacrosse at the University of Massachusets (UMass).
Lewis Ratcliff, Calgary Roughnecks, Forward
In 14 Games Played, Ratcliff scored 24 goals and added 21 assists for 45 points. Ratcliff also picked up 64 Loose Balls. Ratcliff was drafted by Calgary in the fourth round of the 2001 Entry Draft.
Chris Schiller, Rochester Knighthawks, Defenseman
In 16 Games Played, Schiller scored 16 goals and added 8 assists for 24 points. Schiller also picked up 93 Loose Balls. Schiller was acquired in a trade with the former Washington Power franchise in 2001. Schiller played college lacrosse at Penn State University.
Cam Sedgwick, Vancouver Ravens, Forward
In 15 Games Played, Sedgwick scored 16 goals and added 32 assists for 48 points. Sedgwick also picked up 69 Loose Balls. Sedgwick signed with the Vancouver Ravens as a free agent prior to the start of the 2001-02 season.
Aaron Wilson, Toronto Rock, Forward
In 14 Games Played, Wilson scored 21 goals and added 16 assists for 37 points. Wilson also picked up 59 loose balls. Wilson signed with the Toronto Rock as a free agent prior to the start of the 2002-03 season.
