LAKELAND-The Lakeland ThunderBolts are pleased to announce that Carla Thomas will be joining the Lakeland ThunderBolts as the Director and Choreographer of the ThunderBolts dance team.
Carla Thomas comes to the ThunderBolts with over 25 years of dance and choreography experience. Carla is a former cheerleader for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, where she served as Team Captain for five years and also as a Team Leader during the squad's appearance in Super Bowl XXXVII. During her tenure with the Buccaneers she also served as Head Instructor for the Junior Tampa Bay Buccaneers Cheerleaders Program.
In addition to the Buccaneers, Carla also was a Cheerleader Captain for the Arena Football League (AFL) Tampa Bay Storm, where she was the Director, Choreographer and Artistic Director for the squad.
"I am looking forward to assembling a ThunderBolts dance team that showcases great dancers, great choreography and adds excitement and entertainment to every Lakeland ThunderBolts game", stated Carla. "From Country to Hip-hop our routines will get every fan, young and old, cheering the ThunderBolts to victory."
Carla is a native of Tampa, Florida, and a graduate of the University of South Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration/Marketing. She is the Founder and Director of Cheer Girl Entertainment, an entertainment company proving a variety of services including freelance choreography, cheerleading/dance team camps, competition choreography, and audition prep classes.
