LAFC to Celebrate Seventh Annual 'LAFC Day' in the City of Los Angeles on April 27

On April 27, 2018 Councilmember Curren Price and the Los Angeles City Council officially honored and recognized April 27 as "LAFC Day" in the City of Los Angeles. Every year, the Black & Gold celebrates the date by uniting the community with an event.

On Wednesday, April 24, the Los Angeles Football Club Foundation will host a charity run in partnership with the Black & Gold Running Club on Wednesday, April 24th in celebration of LAFC Day. The route will be a 1.5-mile loop through the Heart of LA, starting at BMO stadium at 7:00 PM. Runners will have the opportunity to run one or two laps.

Run participants will receive a custom LAFC themed medal and all attendees are invited to join the post-run party with live DJ and free food samples from the Nongshim food truck. The fee to enter the run is $32.52, with all proceeds going back to the LAFC Foundation. Runners and walkers of all ages and experience levels are welcome to participate. For the first time in Club history, LAFC will play on LAFC Day as the Black & Gold host the Portland Timbers on Saturday, April 27 at BMO Stadium. In celebration of LAFC Day, the LAFC Foundation will kick off the Force for Good campaign, an in-stadium giving campaign intended to increase awareness and raise funds for the LAFC Foundation's impactful work. One hundred percent of the funds raised through the Force For Good campaign will be used to support young people in Los Angeles through the Club's longstanding futsal court program, which provides local schools with spaces to play along with coaching support, gear, and more.

WHEN: 7:00 p.m. PT

WHAT: In celebration of LAFC Day, the LAFC Foundation will host a charity run in partnership with the Black & Gold Running Club. The route will be a 1.5 mile loop starting at BMO stadium at 7:00 PM.
