Lady Wolf Pack tryout to be held Sunday, January 28

January 23, 2007 - arenafootball2 (af2) - Manchester Wolves News Release

The Manchester Wolves, New England's professional arenafootball2 team, announced that tryouts for their award-winning dance team, The Lady Wolf Pack, will be held Sunday, January 28. The audition will take place at Dance Visions Network located at 699 Mast Road in Manchester, N.H. Registration for the event will begin promptly at 9 a.m.

The tryouts will be conducted by Lady Wolf Pack Choreographer and area native Heidi Sullivan-Laroche. Laroche, who is entering her fourth year with the Wolves, is the owner of Dance Visions and a former New England Patriots cheerleader. Another former Patriots cheerleader and Lady Wolf Pack co-captain, Michelle Gagnon, will be entering her first year with the Wolves as dance team coordinator and will also assist with the auditions.

Dancers must be at least 18 years of age to participate in the audition. Proper dance/fitness attire such as bike shorts with an aerobic top should be worn. Candidates must also bring a resume, current photo, bagged lunch and water. A $15 non-refundable cash only registration fee will be required.

"Heidi has gone above and beyond with the Wolves dance team," Wolves General Manager Angelo Mazzella said. "She has helped develop a lot of local talent, some of whom have gone on to bigger things, and this year's tryout should bring in more future shining stars."

The Lady Wolf Pack has claimed numerous accolades since they've started dancing four years ago, ranging from the "3 rd Best Dance Team Award" in the arenafootball2 league in 2004 and 2005 to being named "Best Dance Team in 2005" by NH Magazine. One Wolves' dancer, Quinn Kingston (Pembroke, NH), made the jump after the 2005 season to the NBA's New York Knicks. Kingston can now be seen dancing on the sidelines at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts for the NFL's New England Patriots.

Off the field The Lady Wolf Pack are just as active, as each member of the 25 person squad appears in over 10 community appearances each for the Wolves. The Lady Wolf Pack have a strong presence in the community whether through performing routines during the Christmas Parade on Elm Street, answering phones for WZID's Christmas for Kids Auction, or by their annual appearance at Camp Fatima.

"We are excited and eager for the upcoming Lady Wolf Pack auditions and are looking forward to another successful season," said Lady Wolf Pack Coordinator Michelle Gagnon. "I have received a lot of interest so far, inquires from not only New Hampshire but Massachusetts and Maine as well, and expect another great turnout."

The second and final round of dance tryouts will be held on February 3, at 2 p.m. The final round plans to be a special event held at the Pheasant Lane Mall in Nashua, N.H. with a celebrity panel of judges. Dance hopefuls have to attend the Jan. 28 preliminary audition to be considered for the second round tryout on Feb. 3. More details will be unveiled for the final tryout after the Jan. 28 audition.
