A walk-off single from Andy Lack brought home the winning run for the Worcester Bravehearts (2-0) in a 4-3 victory over the Pittsfield Suns in 10 innings at Fitton Field on Monday.
Lack reached base three times in the game for the Worcester Bravehearts. He scored one run and had one RBI. He singled in the third and tenth innings.
Brendan OReilly racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Worcester Bravehearts. He singled in the third, fourth, and sixth innings.
Andrew Bergmann baffled the Pittsfield Suns (1-2), striking out 10 batters. Bergmann allowed no earned runs, four hits and two walks over six innings.
Sean Gustin got the win, running his season record to 1-0. He struck out three, walked none and surrendered one hit.
Nate Spielvogel couldn't get it done on the mound for the Pittsfield Suns, taking a loss. He lasted just 2 2/3 innings, walked none, struck out five, and allowed one run.
