La Jolla based Nomads Academy at the 1st Annual Nomads Family Picnic

San Diego, CA, Players, friends, family and alumni are invited to come together this week for the 1st Annual Nomads Family Picnic & 3v3 Friendlies, and witness champion indoor soccer team, the San Diego Sockers, take on the La Jolla based Nomads Academy BU18's, on August 22nd in San Diego.
From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Kinsell Field at the Hickman Youth Complex (Hickman Field Drive, San Diego 92117) will host the first-time event to include a barbecue lunch and 3v3 friendlies in addition to the noon exhibition match between the Sockers and Nomads. Lunch is provided at no cost for participants of the 3v3 games and can be purchased by spectators in advance on the Nomads Academy website. Outside food and beverages are welcome and event is free to the public.
This Saturday's local scrimmage comes just two and a half months prior to the start of the Sockers Season on November 7th with a home game. Season tickets are currently on sale at the San Diego Sockers' website: www.sdsockers.com.
The San Diego Sockers is part of the Professional Arena Soccer League (PASL), while the Nomads Academy is a member of the US Soccer Development Academy Program.
