CARSON, CA - LA Galaxy II (6-5-1, 19 points) fell to Seattle Sounders FC 2 Thursday night at Starfire Sports Complex as a late goal from the hosts saw Los Dos lose for just their second time in the past eight matches.

The first half saw both sides go into the locker rooms scoreless, as Los Dos and Sounders FC 2 both created several chances on goal. Galaxy II's best chance came from LA Galaxy Homegrown Player Jack McBean, who hit a shot just wide after receiving a pass from midfielder Raul Mendiola.

Following halftime, the hosts struck first when Aaron Kovar put Seattle up, 1-0. Seattle's Sam Garza received a pass on the right side of the field from Andy Craven before crossing the ball to the center of the box before it was tapped in by Kovar give Sounders FC 2 the lead.

After conceding the goal, Galaxy II piled on the pressure, creating numerous chances late in the second half, boosted by a late red card to Seattle's Sergio Motta for a two-footed kick to the groin against a Galaxy II player.

With just seconds left in regular time, Los Dos' Ryo Fujii hit the crossbar on a lofted ball over the top headed for the far corner and just past the fingertips of an outstretched Troy Perkins for Seattle. Despite the late pressure, Galaxy II were unable to find the equalizer.

With the loss, Galaxy II are now 6-2-0 in their last eight USL Regular Season matches. Los Dos are third in the Western Conference with 19 points.

LA Galaxy II will now travel to face Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2 Sunday, June 14 at Thunderbird Stadium UCB beginning at 2 p.m. PT, streamed live on www.lagalaxy.com.
