Kurtiss Riggs Show at Gateway Lounge Wednesday Night

The United Bowl Edition of The Kurtiss Riggs Show will be broadcast LIVE from Gateway Lounge, which is located just off of 41st St. behind Carmike Theatre. The program is LIVE from 5:30-6:45 PM and airs on AM 1230 KWSN and on www.kwsn.com. The show will focus on the Storm?s upcoming United Bowl game against the Bloomington Extreme. Also on this week?s show, the Storm, Bud Light, and the Gateway Lounge will qualify fans to win a four day, three night cruise to the Bahamas.

Fans qualifying for the final drawing for the trip to the Bahamas will be announced on the show Wednesday night. Qualifiers will be entered into the final drawing on July 30th. The winner of the drawing will be able to have this once in a lifetime trip to the Bahamas for only $174 per person.

Storm Head Coach Kurtiss Riggs and ?The Voice of the Storm? Rich Roste will preview the United Bowl championship game against Bloomington. This will mark the fifth straight season that the Storm has been in a championship game, with the Storm winning the last three United Bowls.

Guests on this week?s program will include Mark Blackburn, Shannon Poppinga, Andre Fields, and Trice Crump. These defensive stars will have an announcement to make regarding their future with the franchise. These players have played a combined 26 years for the Storm and led the team to five consecutive championship games.

Anthony Thomas will also join the program. Thomas is in his second season with the Storm playing both offensive and defensive line. Thomas attended the University of Arizona from 1997 to 2001. Following his time in college, Thomas spent training camp with the Washington Redskins and played in two pre-season games in 2002. He joined the Sioux City Bandits for the 2005 season and played in 14 games. Thomas accounted for 24 tackles and 5.5 sacks for Sioux City. Thomas has spent most of his time on the offensive line this season, but has two tackles playing on the defensive side of the ball.

Tickets are still available for United Bowl and can be purchased online at www.ticketmaster.com or by calling TicketMaster at 334-8181. Tickets can also be purchased at the Sioux Falls Arena Box Office. The game is set for a 7:05 PM kickoff on July 12 at the Sioux Falls Arena.
