Philadelphia Rebels News Release
SEWELL, NJ - Saturday night, the Philadelphia Rebels (22-23-1-1, 46 pts) finished off their sweep of the Danbury Jr. Hat Tricks (2-41-5-2, 11 pts) with a 4-0 win.
Jakub Krbecek was sensational all weekend, stopping all 48 shots he faced in the series. Krbecek's shutout streak has extended to 191:36 with his third consecutive shutout highlighted by a highlight-reel glove save on Luke Golisano.

Power-play goals from Greg Spitznagel and Luke deVries in the first 10 minutes gave the Rebels an early lead. Danbury took three penalties in the first half of the period, giving the Rebels' power play plenty of time to warm up and get to work. On both goals, Philadelphia was able to sneak a shot through traffic and into the net.
In the second period, Matt Lewis tallied his fourth of the year on a rebound in front of the net.
Going into the third already leading 3-0, Justin Hale's team just needed to shut it down defensively to earn the sweep. They did exactly that. Krbecek made a few more fabulous saves and Brock Jones went bar-down to extend the lead to 4-0. That score held the rest of the way.
The Rebels return to the ice on Tuesday as they travel to Middletown Ice World Arena to take on the New Jersey Titans. The Rebels have a 12-9-1-0 road record. Opening faceoff is scheduled for 7 p.m and the game can be streamed on HockeyTV.
