Kootenay Ice News Release
Cranbrook, BC â The Kootenay ICE today launched Bell Captains Clinics for the second season. Introduced in the 2003-04 season, Bell Captains Clinics is a skills-based minor hockey program targeted at 9 to 12 year-old minor hockey players in Cranbrook and across Canada.
Executed by Kootenay ICE players, Bell Captains Clinics promote fundamental player skill development in a fun and challenging setting while focusing on: skating, agility, puck control, shooting and passing accuracy.
"We're pleased to partner with Bell Canada again this year to bring this exciting program to minor hockey players in our community," said Brad Lauer, Kootenay ICE Assistant Coach. "More kids will have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to share the ice and learn important skills from some of the best Junior players in Canada."
Atom, Minor Atom, PeeWee and Minor PeeWee hockey teams are encouraged to contact the Kootenay ICE for a chance to have Kootenay ICE players demonstrate and coach on-ice skills during a special hockey clinic.
