
Knoxville downs Louisiana in overtime, 3-2 (OT)

Eric Satim gave the Knoxville Ice Bears a 3-2 (OT) victory over the Louisiana IceGators when he scored 2:29 into the extra period.
The win by Knoxville clinched the best of three series at 2-0.
The Ice Bears got the win thanks to a great game by Satim, who had two goals and one assist. Satim scored the first of his two goals short handed at 11:13 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Knoxville was on a disadvantage when Jon Higgins went off the ice for roughing. Peter Neal provided the assist. Satim's next tally short handed made the score 3-2 Knoxville with 17:31 left in overtime. Francis Drolet assisted on the tally.
Mark Van Vliet also scored for Knoxville. More assists for Knoxville came via Brad Pawlowski, who had one.
Louisiana stifled the Ice Bears' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.
The IceGators were helped by Chris Wilson, who finished with one goal. Wilson scored 8:25 into the third period to make the score 2-2. Kirk Byczynski picked up the assist. Louisiana also got a goal from Shawn McNeil as well. In addition, Louisiana received assists from Ron Cramer, who had one and Matt Robertson, who had two.
Bryan Hince made 20 saves for Knoxville on 22 shots. The Ice Bears incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Matt Zenzola rejected 22 shots on goal for Louisiana. The IceGators incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
