Knights Thank Fans For Their Support

The Omaha Ak-Sar-Ben Knights, their coaches, staff and families would like to thank the greater Omaha community for its outstanding support of the team during our second season in the American Hockey League.

Since day one, our goal has been to provide families with exciting and affordable entertainment while fulfilling our mission to develop players for the National Hockey League's Calgary Flames. The Ak-Sar-Ben Knights took major steps forward during the 2006-07 season. We won the West Division and Western Conference Regular Season Championships and made our first appearance in the AHL's Calder Cup Playoffs. Along the way, the team set 32 new franchise records and provided nine players to the NHL.

Your support throughout the season was a big key to our success on the ice. We are already looking forward to a new season, and we hope you are too. Look for the Knights at parades and festivals in your community throughout the summer, and we'll look for you at the Civic Auditorium this fall. Thank you for lending your voice to the growing chorus of people who are getting behind Omaha's professional hockey team, your Ak-Sar-Ben Knights.
