Corvallis Knights News Release
The Corvallis Knights of the West Coast League have added two more 10-day signees to their 2015 roster, president Dan Segel announced Monday.
The newest Knights are sophomore outfielder Henry Rondeau of Linn-Benton Community College, a Corvallis native and former standout at Corvallis High School, and Taylor Travess, a freshman infielder/outfielder at Mt. Hood Community College.
Rondeau played at Feather River College in 2014 and hit .281 (16-57) in 28 games, with no homers and eight RBIs. He was a Mid-Willamette Conference all-star and a first-team 5A all-state selection as a CHS senior in 2013. He also played in the Reser's Oregon All-Star Series.
Travess is a 2014 graduate of Springfield High School and was a two-time all-Midwestern League shortstop for the Millers. He played in the Reser's Oregon All-Star Series, and in the Les Schwab Bowl in football after an all-state season at wide receiver. He also played basketball.
The Knights open the 2015 season with a June 3 nonleague game against the Portland Seadogs at Goss Stadium. Their WCL opener is June 5 at Bend; their WCL home opener is June 9 against Bellingham in a rematch of last year's WCL Championship Series.
