Knights Sign Moore of Cal Poly

The Corvallis Knights of the West Coast League have signed first baseman Cooper Moore, a freshman from Cal Poly, for the 2016 season, president Dan Segel announced Monday.
Moore is a 6-foot-4, 200-pound right-handed hitter/thrower from Huntington Beach High School in Huntington Beach, Calif. He will join Cal Poly teammates Craig Colen and Slater Lee, right-handed pitchers who played for the 2015 Knights, in Corvallis this summer.
The Knights open the 2016 season, their 10th in Corvallis, with a June 1 nonleague game against the Portland Sea Dogs. They begin the WCL season at Bend on June 3; their WCL home opener is June 14 against Kelowna.
