Knights Host WCL All-Star Game Tomorrow Night at Goss Stadium

Make plans now to attend the West Coast League All-Star Game, powered by PEAK Internet, Tuesday, July 26th at Goss Stadium. Gates open at 5 pm. The WCL Home Run Derby starts at 5:30 pm. Corvallis first baseman Sean Myrom will represent the Knights. First pitch is at 7:15 pm, and there will be fireworks immediately following the game.

Nine Corvallis Knights were selected to the West All-Star squad including third baseman Jimmy Allen of Cal Poly; pitcher Max Beatty and infielder Corey Moore of Pacific Lutheran; pitcher Chase Johnson of Cal Poly; shortstop Trent Oleszczuk of Seattle; first baseman Sean Myrom of Concordia; pitcher DylanStuart of UC Riverside; closer (and WCL saves leader) Mark Trentacosta of UC Irvine and reliever Ben Wetzler of Oregon State.

WCL West head coach Brooke Knight of Corvallis named Dylan Stuart as his starting pitcher for tomorrow's big game. WCL East skipper Ed Knaggs of Wenatchee named Adrian Sampson (Bellevue College) of Bellingham as his starter. Sampson was selected in the 15th round of the 2011 MLB draft by the Florida Marlins.

You can get your All-Star Game tickets today at the Knights' downtown office on 4thand Madison from 10 am to 5 pm, or tomorrow night at the Goss ticket booth, which opens at 5 pm. GA tickets are $5 and reserved seats are $10.
