
Knighthawks' Walters Name to All-Star Team

(Rochester, NY)... Rochester Knighthawks forward Joe Walters was named to the Major League Lacrosse All-Star Game on Thursday, July 16th at 10:00 p.m. ET at Denver's INVESCO Field. The fourth-year outdoor pro will play for the "Old School" team.
Walters plays for the Toronto Nationals and is second on the team with 18 points (14+2+2) in six games. He is also tied for fourth in the league in goals and tied for 11th in points. This past season, Walters made his National Lacrosse League debut with his hometown team. The Rochester native played in 15 games and collected eight goals, 12 assists and 50 loose balls.
This year's game will return to the "Old School" vs. "Young Guns" format which was featured in the 2005 All-Star Game. The "Young Guns" squad is comprised of players that entered the league or were drafted from 2007-09 classes, while the "Old School" squad will be made up by those players signing to an MLL team prior to and including 2006. Fans can watch the game, and Walters, live on ESPN2 and TSN2.
