
Knighthawks' Steve Toll Wins Transition Player Of The Year

(Rochester, NY)... Rochester Knighthawk Steve Toll was named the inaugural winner of the National Lacrosse League's Transition Player of the Year. Toll finished the 2007 season third in the league with 177 loose balls and represented Rochester at the league's all-star game.
This season, Toll played in 16 regular season games and recorded 38 points (14+24). The third-year Knighthawk was also voted the Week 16 NLL Transition Player of the Week after helping Rochester to a two-game sweep of the Buffalo Bandits by registering one goal, four assists and 19 loose balls.
On April 13th, Toll scored one goal and added three assists for four points and collected nine loose balls in a 14-10 road win over the Buffalo Bandits. Toll also tallied an assist and collected 10 loose balls in a 14-8 home win over the Bandits at The Blue Cross Arena on April 14th.
The St. Catharines, Ontario, native was acquired by Rochester in 2004 from the San Jose Stealth. He spent the majority of his career with the Toronto Rock, where he won championships in 1999, 2000, 2002 and 2003.
Toll and the Knighthawks will play for the 2007 NLL Championship, presented by Edge Active Care, on Saturday, May 12th, at 4:00 p.m. Eastern/1:00 p.m. Pacific. The Knighthawks will meet the Arizona Sting at Jobing.com Arena in Glendale, Arizona. The game will air live on VERSUS across the U.S.
