Knighthawks Offering Free Playoff Bus Trip to Toronto

The Playoff Buses are back! For the second time in team history, the Rochester Knighthawks will run buses to a National Lacrosse League Playoff Game. Knighthawks fans can join the party and travel to Toronto for FREE on seven buses donated by Knighthawks owner Curt Styres. Space is limited to the first 325 fans.
The East Division Semifinal Playoff Game against the Toronto Rock is a 7:00 p.m. faceoff at the Air Canada Centre. The slogan from Styres this postseason is "Go big or go home!" The last time the Knighthawks offered a free trip to a playoff game was in May 2009 as Rochester played at Madison Square Garden against the New York Titans.
The bus idea was created in 2004 during Game 7 of the Ontario Junior 'A' championship, as the Six Nations Arrows took 11 buses to Whitby. That night, Six Nations defeated the Whitby Warriors 10-6 at the Iroquois Park Sports Complex with 600 Arrows' fans in attendance. With the road win, Six Nations advanced to the Junior "A" National Championships of Canada, the Minto Cup.
Now the fans of Rochester have a chance to take over a visiting arena as a result of Styres' generosity. The cost of the transportation and a game ticket is FREE for all fans who want to hop on the buses at the Fairport Park and Ride (located next to St. John Fisher College). Check in is at noon Saturday and buses will depart at 1:00 p.m. Fans must have a passport or enhanced license to cross the border. They will be no alcohol permitted on the buses. The East Division Finals will be televised live on CBS Sports Network, which is available on Time Warner Cable Channel 232 and 1027 in HD.
