The Rochester Knighthawks fell to the Toronto Rock 12-9 tonight at Connors & Ferris Field at The Blue Cross Arena.

"It's the little things in the room right now that's compounding issues," said Knighthawks head coach Mike Hasen. "We have to keep moving forward and keep working through it."

Rochester (2-6) was led by Joe Resetarits, who tied his career high with four goals. Cody Jamieson put up three points (1+2), while Graeme Hossack, Brad Gillies and Josh Currier each added a goal and an assist. Dylan Evans also scored one goal.

"The effort is there, no question about it," Resetarits said. "We've just got to make due with our chances when they come. We've got to put this behind us and worry about winning this game tomorrow."

Resetarits opened up scoring just eight seconds in the game to get the team going. Toronto answered back 1:28 later to tie it at one, but Hossack's tally in transition and Resetarits' second of the night helped Rochester regain the lead.

Four straight goals from Toronto between the first and second quarters had the Rock up by two, but Resetarits' power-play goal halted the run to get within 5-4. Dylan Evans' shorthanded marker at 10:20 of the second tied the game up going into halftime.

The Knighthawks scored two goals in the third, but the Rock went on a three-goal run to go into the final frame with a 9-7 lead. The final quarter saw Rochester fight back and pull within one at 10-9, before two empty-netters put the game away.

"I thought our power plays were pretty good," said Knighthawks forward Dan Dawson. "Transition is getting us opportunities and our 'D' is giving us chances out the back door, but five-on-five we're struggling right now and we've got to shoot our way out of this."

It's a quick turnaround for the Knighthawks as they travel to take on the Georgia Swarm Sunday at the Infinite Energy Arena in Duluth, Ga. Faceoff is set for 6:05 p.m.

"We have to look in our room right now and get confidence from within," Hasen said. "Right now we've got to work through it. It's going to be a little thing that turns us around. We've got to keep moving forward and staying positive and we're going to bounce back."
