
Knighthawks Battle Swarm in Friday Night Showdown

The Rochester Knighthawks will hit the road again this week as they make their first trip ever to Georgia to play the Swarm. The game tonight from the Infinite Energy Arena is a 7:35 p.m. faceoff. The game is the second of three meetings between the two clubs.
The contest is the third of an eight-game stretch against East Division opponents. Rochester has already played Buffalo and New England and has a pair of upcoming contests against Georgia, New England and Buffalo.
Rochester is fresh off a 17-13 victory over the New England Black Wolves on Saturday. The Swarm, meanwhile, dropped a 14-8 decision to extend their losing streak to two games. The Knighthawks (5-5) are now a full game ahead of Georgia (4-6) for third place in the East Division.
In the win over New England, the Knighthawks rallied from a 6-1 first-quarter deficit to earn their third home victory of the season. Rochester's Stephen Keogh (6+2), Dan Dawson (5+3) and Joe Walters (1+7) all had eight points. Joe Resetarits (1+3) and Cory Vitarelli (2+2) also chipped in four-point efforts. Matt Vinc earned the win in goal, making 41 saves.
Holy Milestones: Last Saturday, Stephen Keogh tied his single-game high with six goals, while Joe Walters set new marks for assists and points in a game. Keogh also recorded his 100th career goal and 200th career point. Cody Jamieson, who chipped in seven points (2+5), also reached a milestone. "Jammer" became only the third player in franchise history to collect 300 assists as a Knighthawk. Team captain Sid Smith played in his 100th game as a Knighthawk.
Powless against Powless: For the first time in their pro careers, cousins Quinn Powless (Rochester) and Johnny Powless (Georgia) will go head-to-head. Johnny, who played in Rochester from 2012-14, is in his fifth season, while Quinn is in his second season in the league. Quinn Powless was acquired from New England in February and made his Rochester debut last Saturday against his former team.
Keogh on Fire: Fifth-year pro Stephen Keogh had quite the weekend. The Toronto native scored nine goals and added four assists in two games. He now has 13 goals and four assists in his last four games.
Jammer moving on Up: After a 12-point weekend, Cody Jamieson has moved into fifth place in the league in points. In 10 games, he leads the Knighthawks with 40 assists and 61 points. He is also second on the team with 21 goals.

Next Game: The Rochester Knighthawks will play a home-and-home series against the New England Black Wolves. The two-game set begins in Uncasville, Conn. on Friday, March 25th. The game at Mohegan Sun Arena is a 7:00 p.m. start. The following night, the Knighthawks will host the Black Wolves at 7:30 p.m. at Connors & Ferris Field at The Blue Cross Arena. The contests will end a three-game in two-week span between the two East Division foes.
