
Knighthawks and Rattlers named to Canadian world team

Rochester Knighthawks News Release
(Rochester, NY)... Four members of the National Lacrosse League's Rochester Knighthawks have been named to the 23-man Team Canada roster for the 2006 World Championships. Forwards John Grant and Shawn Williams, and defensemen Stephen Hoar and Steve Toll will represent the Canadians at the tournament held in London, Ontario in July 2006.
Rochester Rattler (Major League Lacrosse) midfielder A.J. Shannon and former Rattler attackman Ryan Ward also made the squad. Former Knighthawk and 2005 NLL Defenseman of the Year Andrew Turner will also play for Canada.
The coaching staff also has a Rochester flavor with Knighthawks Head Coach Ed Comeau and former Knighthawk player Randy Mearns serving as assistant coaches under Head Coach Frank Nielsen.
