Rochester improved to 8-2 with the East Division victory. The win extended the Knighthawks' winning streak to six games, which tied the team's single-season record. This weekend the league honors its best, as the NLL All-Star Game is held in Portland, Oregon, at Rose Garden on Saturday, March 10th. Faceoff is set for 10:00 p.m. Eastern. The game will air in the U.S. on VERSUS on Sunday, March 11th at 2:30 p.m. Eastern.
Toll heads to the All-Star game for the second time as a Knighthawk. He played in the 2006 game in Toronto and now heads to Portland. He appeared in the 2002 NLL All-Star Game and led the North All-Stars to a 14-10 victory over the South. He scored three goals and added one assist en route to Game MVP honors. Toll currently leads the league with 122 loose balls. He also has 11 goals and 12 assists in 10 games.
The St. Catharines, Ontario, native was acquired by Rochester in 2004 from the San Jose Stealth for a first and second-round pick in the 2005 National Lacrosse League Draft. Toll spent the majority of his 11-year career with the Toronto Rock, where he won championships in 1999, 2000, 2002 and 2003.
Joining Toll this week as a player of the week included Buffalo Bandits veteran forward John Tavares, who won Overall and Offensive Player of the Week honors.
