
KNBR to Broadcast SaberCats Games in 2012

SAN JOSE, Calif. - The San Jose SaberCats and KNBR today announced that KNBR 1050 will be the radio home for all SaberCats football games during the 2012 season. The SaberCats open the 2012 slate at home against bitter rivals and defending National Conference champion Arizona Rattlers on Saturday, March 10 at HP Pavilion at 7:30 p.m. PT. "KNBR is the home for all Bay Area sports on the radio and we are very excited to have them as our broadcasting partner this upcoming season," said Owner/Head Coach Darren Arbet. "As we move forward in 2012, we are looking forward to our fans being able to listen to us throughout the season as we make a run at ArenaBowl XXV."
The new partnership also includes a wide range of weekly SaberCats programming, including a weekly coach's show with Arbet, Bob Fitzgerald and Rod Brooks on the Fitz and Brooks show on KNBR 680 (weekdays from 12:00 - 3:00 p.m. PT), as well as 15-minute pregame and postgame shows on game days.
