Klamath Falls Gems to Host Santa Fly in at Kiger Stadium

Santa Claus will be landing at Kiger Stadium thanks to the Klamath Falls Gems, the Kiger Association, Klamath Chamber of Commerce and Emergency Air Lift. The helicopter arrival is scheduled for 3 pm on Saturday, December 1, 2012.
"Santa and I go way back," said Gems mascot Tater in making the announcement Friday. "When I asked him to spend the afternoon with all of the good girls and boys of Klamath Falls, he was more than happy to make the trip."
Santa is being flown from the North Pole to Klamath Falls thanks to the team at Emergency Air Lift. The air ambulance company has been serving the Klamath Basin since 2010, as is excited to transport the world's most famous celebrity. "It's not every day you get to fly Santa Claus in to Kiger Stadium," said Gems General Manager Grant Wilson. "I will have to ask Santa how the helicopter compares to Rudolph and the reindeer pulling his sleigh!"
The Klamath Falls Gems will be offering free e-photos of Santa and the kids; and Tater will be on hand to entertain the children as well. In addition, the Gems Team Shop will be open offering official Gems merchandise, just in time for holiday shopping.

The Klamath Falls Gems are members of the West Coast League, the Diamond Standard among summer college baseball. The eleven-team, professional style wood-bat league features pro prospects from major conferences across the country.
