Klamath Falls, Oregon: Tuesday, January 22, 2013: The Klamath Falls Gems are happy to announce they have reached an agreement with The Vagabond Inn to be the host hotel for all West Coast League teams for the 2013 and 2014 seasons.
The Gems talked with several outstanding hotels regarding hosting incoming teams as they play the Gems in Klamath Falls. However, in the end it made the most sense for the Gems to have the visiting teams stay at The Vagabond Inn. "It's location less than a mile away from Kiger Stadium, hot breakfast in the morning for the players, an indoor pool and Jacuzzi, and several restaurants in walking distance, were all contributing factors in the decision," said General Manager Grant Wilson.
In addition to the great experience the visiting teams will have at the Vagabond Inn, there were other important factors as well. "Christina Brown and the Patel family really saw the value of becoming sponsors of the Gems at the highest level. They saw this as an exceptional opportunity to brand the Vagabond Inn, and other hotels they own in the area, with Kiger Stadium and the Gems," added Wilson.

The Klamath Falls Gems are members of the West Coast League, the Diamond Standard among summer college baseball. The eleven-team, professional style wood-bat league features pro prospects from major conferences across the country. More than 120 WCL alums played affiliated professional baseball last season, and 20 ex-WCL stars played in the Major Leagues last season.
