KiXX Prepare For MISL Expansion Draft

Philadelphia, PA, July 9, 2007 - The MISL will conduct a "Live" webcast at www.MISL.net on Monday, July 9 at 4:00 p.m. (ET), to announce the 30 selections from the 2007 MISL Expansion Draft. MISL and Detroit Ignition broadcaster, Al Pawlowski, will provide commentary during the webcast.
The Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL) announced on June 22 that it's three expansion teams joining the League for competition in the 2007-08 season, the MISL Monterrey club, the New Jersey Ironmen, and the Orlando Sharks will select up to ten (10) players (maximum of two (2) goalkeepers) each in preparation for their inaugural MISL season during the 2007 MISL Expansion Draft, via a 4:00 p.m. ET telephone conference call on Monday, July 9, 2007. Philadelphia acquired Monterrey's first four picks, including the first, fourth, seventh, and 10th overall selections, via a trade announced on June 29.
Players selected in the 2007 MISL College Draft are excluded from the 2007 MISL Expansion Draft. Current MISL teams may lose a maximum of five (5) players during the Expansion Draft. Once a player is selected from an existing team, the team will be allowed to return two (2) unprotected player to its protected Designation Roster. Player announcements will follow the conclusion of the draft, in addition to the MISL's webcast.
The 2007 Nemours Philadelphia KiXX Summer Kamp program, offered to boys and girls ages four to 14, runs from June 18 through the end of August 31 at approximately 40 locations throughout the Tri-State area. In addition to professional instruction from members of the Philadelphia KiXX, each participant in the summer camp program receives a certificate of participation, an official camp t-shirt and soccer ball, a voucher to the 2007-08 KiXX home opener, and a second free ticket to another 2007-08 KiXX home game.
