Philadelphia KiXX News Release

Philadelphia, PA, March 9, 2004 – The Philadelphia KiXX, who split a pair of games this past weekend, return to action on Tuesday, March 9, to entertain the Kansas City Comets in a rare midweek battle in the Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL). The night, dubbed "Chamber Night" offers special discounts and promotions to area chamber members and their families. Game-time at the Wachovia Spectrum is scheduled for 7:05 pm ET.

Philadelphia enters tonight trailing the Baltimore Blast (22-8) by four full games for the top spot in the Eastern Division with two games in hand. The club is fresh off an exciting 7-6 victory over the San Diego Sockers on March 7, which snapped a season-worst three-game losing streak. The KiXX' magic number to clinch a berth in the 2004 MISL playoffs is now down to two. Any combination of KiXX victories and/or San Diego /St. Louis Steamers losses that equals two, will qualify the team for their eighth consecutive playoff appearance.

The Comets enter tonight at 12-17, trailing the Milwaukee Wave (21-7) by nine and one-half games and leading St. Louis (10-17) by one game in the Central Division.
