Philadelphia KiXX News Release

Philadelphia, PA, November 5, 2004 - The Philadelphia KiXX travel to Baltimore tonight, November 5, for the first game of a home-and-home series versus the two-time defending Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL) Champion Baltimore Blast. Game-time at the 1st Mariner Arena is slated for 7:35 pm ET and all the action can be heard live via webcast at www.pennlive.com/wmss. The club then returns to the Wachovia Spectrum to conclude the series and kick-off their home schedule on Saturday, November 6. The first 5,000 fans to enter the gates will receive a 2004-05 Philadelphia KiXX Magnetic Schedule, courtesy of Jake's Dog House. The home opener is scheduled for a 7:05 pm ET start time, with the doors opening at 6:00 pm ET.

The November 5 contest is the first of eight meetings between Philadelphia and the Baltimore Blast this season. The Blast, fresh off their second consecutive MISL Championship, experienced several roster shake-ups for the 2004-05 campaign, including MISL Finals MVP and goalkeeper Scott Hileman retirement announcement. Baltimore addressed the issue by shipping former KiXX forward Chris Handsor to the Cleveland Force in exchange for the playing rights to netminder Sagu, who was acquired from Dallas in the 2004 MISL Dispersal Draft. In addition to Handsor and Hileman, Baltimore will have to do without the services of all-star defender Wendell Regis, who was also dealt to Cleveland. Last season, the clubs split the six total meetings, with each team winning the series, two-games-to-one on their home turf.
