Kisner Signed to Hoops Roster
November 22, 2002 - Continental Basketball Association 2 (CBA 2)
Grand Rapids Hoops News Release
Grand Rapids, MI - The Continental Basketball Association's Grand Rapids HOOPS announced today that Tim Kisner has been signed to the active roster for tonight's game against the Rockford Lightning. Tip-off is slated for 7:05 p.m.
The Hopkins native will replace Ira Bowman, who was placed on the injured reserve list after suffering a hyper-extended knee in Wednesday night's contest against the Idaho Stampede. Bowman will likely be out for two weeks.
Kisner, a Central Michigan University (CMU) alumnus, attended the HOOPS' veteran training camp, but was released as part of the team's final cuts on November 13 in order to reach the league mandated ten-man roster. He was originally signed to contract after his stellar performance at the team's free-agent camp in early September.
While at CMU, Kisner was a four-year starter and two-time "Unsung Player" Award winner. He finished his collegiate career ranked among the school's career leaders in scoring (21st), three-pointers made (3rd), three-pointers attempted (3rd), assists (4th), and steals (4th). He was also the first player in CMU history to pile up 1,000 points and 400 assists.
