Tucson Padres News Release
Many Tucson area families will see a familiar face walking through their neighborhood on Halloween. Kino Bambino, the Tucson Padres mascot, has selected the winners of his Trick-or-Treating Essay Contest. The Tucson Padres received numerous essays from students in the Tucson area and Kino couldn't pick just one winner, so he'll be going Trick-or-Treating with two local kids!
The first winner is five-year-old Adrian Hunt. Adrian and his family live on Davis-Monthan Air Force Base in Tucson and their father is deployed overseas. The Hunt family attended many Military Appreciation Sunday games at Kino Stadium this summer and Adrian's essay said they "loved to watch Kino dance around." Kino will join them Trick-or-Treating Monday on the base from 5:00-6:00 pm.
The second winner is ten-year-old Casey Edwards from Sahuarita, Arizona. Casey's essay described the games he came to this season and his brother Sean's birthday party at Kino Stadium. Casey will be going Trick-or-Treating with a group of young Tucson Padres fans in their neighborhood and they are thrilled Kino Bambino is joining them. Kino will be in Sahuarita from 6:30-7:30 pm.
Kino Bambino would like to thank everyone who emailed him in the essay contest. Everyone who entered the contest will receive a special gift from Kino Bambino.
