
Kinney and Reed Sign with Storm

TAMPA - The five-time world champion Tampa Bay Storm have signed defensive lineman Kelvin Kinney and defensive back Rayshun Reed announced General Manager and Head coach Tim Marcum. The team placed defensive back Byron Jones on injured reserve and waived defensive lineman Mark Word.
"Some moves are tough to make," said Marcum. "Kelvin will help us on the defensive line and Rayshun will give us more depth in the defensive backfield. We feel these two players will help our defense."
Kinney, 6-foot-7, 280-pounds, was a member of the 2003 Storm Championship team and played for Tampa Bay from 2003-05. He spent the past two seasons with the Columbus Destroyers and accumulated 27.5 tackles 6.5 sacks, 12 passes defended, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery. Kinney returned to the ArenaBowl in 2007 with the Destroyers as Columbus won the National Conference Championship.
Reed, 5-10, 185, spent his rookie season with the Orlando Predators in 2007. He led the team with six interceptions and four fumble recoveries and finished second with 72 tackles, 11 pass breakups and five forced fumbles. Reed spent two seasons with the San Francisco 49ers after signing with the team as an un-drafted free agent in 2004.
STORM Broadcast Information
Fans can catch the Storm home opener against the Brigade on 1250 AM-WHNZ the sister station of 620 AM-WDAE "The Sports Animal." Jack Harris and Jason Dixon will call the game as the Storm look to start the season 2-0. The Broadcast is set to begin at 7:15 p.m.

The Sunday broadcast of the AFL on ESPN debuts this week as the Philadelphia Soul head to Chicago to take on the Rush Live on ESPN2 and ESPN2 HD at 1:00 p.m. Don't miss two of the best quarterback-wide receiver tandems in the AFL go head to head, as Philadelphia's Tony Graziani and Chris Jackson lead the Soul against Chicago's Sherdrick Bonner and Damien Harrell.

The Rattlers will look to exact revenge after giving up an 18 point lead in their last meeting, a 55-52 Avengers win. The Rattlers are led by 2007 Offensive Player of the Year Siaha Burley, while Los Angeles will look to continue their winning ways over Arizona behind quarterback Sonny Cumbie and wide receiver Kelvin Ingram.
