The Kings won their home opener in a barn burner over the Washington Wild Things with a score of 6-5. Greg Wiltshire came into the game in the ninth and got his first save of the season for the Kings. While John Huizinga got the win. Darryl Blaze went 2-3 with two runs scored and two stolen bases. Catcher Matt Kent went 1-4 with a three run homerun. Defensively the Kings played a great game led by Chris Carter and Tim Frankhouse.
