Kings Shake Up Roster

Brooklyn Kings News Release

BROOKLYN, NY (May 1, 2006) - In an impact acquisition, The Brooklyn Kings have added former North East Pennsylvania Breaker Chris Sandy (6'2 Fresno St.'02) to their growing roster. The guard will replace Tory Cavalieri (6'0 St. Francis '05) as a result of today's trade.

Sandy (14.5 ppg), squared off against Cavalieri (15.3 ppg) last Friday night, where he came out with the 98-88 road victory over the Brooklyn Kings. The New York native had a game high 20 points on eight of nine shooting - connecting on four of five from three-point land, and added three assists, five rebounds and two steals in 25 minutes of action. Cavalieri played only 15 minutes totaling four points and two assists for the Kings.

Kings Coach & General Manager Kenny Charles said "It's a trade of starting point guards that is good for both teams. We addressed our need of scoring out of our backcourt".

The Brooklyn Kings look to finish the four games remaining in their home stand on a positive note before they start their six-game Western Division trip. The Kings will start their trip playing Oklahoma in back-to-back games and will make their way back home after facing North East Pennsylvania (May 19) and the Pennsylvania ValleyDawgs (May 21).

The Kings will finally return to Brooklyn on May 24 to face off against the Kansas Cagerz. Tip-off time will be at 7:00 at Long Island University's Schwartz Center.
